“Who cooks for you? Who cooks for you all?” Probably not this owl. I think they are into more of a raw food kind of thing.

This is one that I heard for the first time about 8 years after living here. Again, it’s hard to spot owls so usually my identification is based on their calls. The clear “who cooks for you? Who cooks for you-all…” call was unmistakable and super cool to hear off in the distance!

Interestingly the biggest predatory threat to this owl is the larger Great Horned Owl.
