Miner Bee (Andrenid bee)

These bees all seem to emerge on a warm day, right next to my driveway, buzzing about like crazy. Thankfully they are not aggressive!

Is it a mushroom, or is it a hedgehog clinging to a tree? Well, in this photo is might be either, on a counter top.

Personally I've always called this mushroom the nuclear explosion fungus.

Not the bird...

This fungus does not grow under the sea, but it sure looks like it!
