I don’t think there is much more to say than the short description on the excerpt, except I’d like to draw your attention to the pink stamens that are like little pink shooting stars coming from the center white star, and I think we should probably call this plant…..hmmmmm…..

Size: 6-12" tall
Family: Caryophyllaceae (Pink Family)
Habitat: Moist, shady, slightly acidic rich woods and rocky slopes. 
Identification: "White flowers with deeply cleft petals in clusters atop an erect stem and rising from leaf axils; stems with 2 lines of hairs, or more or less uniformly hairy."  From wildflower.org  Blooms March-May
