Dark Light
Black-foot Parachute
Tetrapyrgos nigripes

I wish I had a better photo of these (and more photos). I was pretty confused to see the mushrooms just coming out of the stem of this leaf, which in the end is what helped me identify this fungus (hopefully correctly!)

Alternate Name: Black-stalked Marasmius
Size: Cap .5-2 cm across, stem 2-5 cm long
Family: Marasmiaceae
Habitat: Leaf litter, forest floor of hardwood forests.
Identification: Dark colored stem with a white cap, tiny white hairs on the stem, which lack mycelia and is directly inserted into the substrate (usually an oak leaf or twig).

This was one of the first mushrooms I spotted here and I had NO IDEA what on earth it was. Turns out, it's kinda cool!

Violet Fairy Cup

The little kid in me can definitely imagine a bunch of fairies sitting around this cup, enjoying whatever fairy libation fairies enjoy...

Oyster Mushroom

Not named because it tastes like an oyster, but because the shape and slipperiness slightly resembles that common bivalve.

Golden Trumpet

I think the best way to describe this little orange fungi is: gregarious.
