Typically, jelly fungus shrivel up during dry conditions. However once it rains, they can absorb up to 60 times their weight in water, which causes them to swell up into their gelatinous ‘original’ form.

Size: up to 20 cm across
Family: Tremellaceae
Habitat: Typically found on dead, attached or recently fallen branches of broadleaf trees and conifers.
